Dhaka: The Sangsad Bangladesh Television Management Committee sat for its maiden meeting on Tuesday.

The meeting was held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with the committee’s convener ASM Feroz in the chair, said a PID handout.

At the meeting, the committee took a decision to send letters to the Members of Parliament (MPs) asking them to place proposals regarding possible programmes of the Sangsad Television.

The meeting discussed the feasibility of telecasting development activities of various ministries and government agencies, various government programmes, policies and measures, and meetings and recommendations of the parliamentary standing committees by the Sangsad TV with a view to informing the common people.

A three-member sub-committee was formed to prepare a proposal for making the programmes of Sangsad TV more dynamic, effective and credible.

Sukumar Ranjan Ghosh MP and high officials of the Parliament Secretariat were present at the meeting.
