Dhaka: The results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations will be published on 30 May, says the Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Monday.

The results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations will be published on 30 May.

Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid disclosed this while talking to reporters at the ministry on Monday.

Nahid said the results will be handed over to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 10:00am on the day and the results would be announced through at a press briefing at 1:00pm, he said.

The SSC and its equivalent examinations were held amid nonstop blockade and hartal porgrammes enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance.  

Not a single written test of the SSC exams could be held on scheduled dates and most of the exams were held on weekly holidays.  

A total of 14,79,266 students took part in the exams under 10 education boards.
