Students vandalise Islamic University medical centre
Kushtia: A group of students of Islamic University (IU) of Kushtia vandalised the medical centre of the university for alleged negligence of physicians in providing treatment to one of their fellows on Friday night.
Campus sources said a third year student of the Bangla Department was wounded as a venomous snake bit him at the university’s playground at about 9:00pm, reports UNB.
Later, other students whisked him off to the university’s medical centre.
However, they waited there for around one hour but no doctor came to give treatment which agitated the students.
Following this, the students vandalised the doors and valuables of the medical centre at about 11:00pm.
Pro-vice chancellor of the university M Shahinoor Rahman said the authorities will take action against the doctors for negligence in duty.
