A day long tree plantation campaign was held at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) campus on Wednesday.

Gazipur Student Association of SUST, an association of students from Gazipur, arranged the campaign in association with Anthropology Association and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Sylhet to encourage students to plant trees to save the environment from all kinds of pollutions and to protect the ecosystem.

Vice-chancellor Aminul Haque Bhuyan along with Anthropology department head AKM Mazharul Islam and Colonel Abdullah Al Mamun inaugurated the function in front of University Gate on campus at about 11:00am.

Among others, Vice president of the student association, Ashraful Alam Antu, general secretary Omayer Adnan, and former president of the association Shajidul Islam Shobuj were present at that time.
