New Danish Ambassador arrives in Dhaka

Dhaka: Mikael Hemniti Winther, the new Danish Ambassador to Bangladesh arrived in Dhaka on Monday. He will soon take over his office formally after presenting his credentials.

Winther is an experienced diplomat, who is known as an ‘Asia Expert’ within the diplomatic circle, according to Danish Embassy in Dhaka.

Most recently he was the Danish Ambassador in Thailand where he served an extended term of almost six years.

He also has experience from working in the Philippines, Vietnam and Iraq.

Winther has been an associate professor with Copenhagen University and Copenhagen Business School.

He is very passionate about music and loves to play his guitar. He is also very fond of motorbikes.
