Dhaka: The results of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dhakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations were published on Thursday, showing the average pass percentage of 93.06.

Record number of 2,47,588 students secured GPA 5 this year.

A total of 93.06 percent JSC and JDC examinees came out successful in the examinations this year, up by about 0.73 per cent than that of the previous year.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid formally announced the results at a croweded press conference at the Education Ministry in the morning.

Earlier, the minister handed over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganobhaban at about 10:30am.

Around 22.50 lakh candidates sat for the examinations that began on 1 November and continued till 17 November.
