2 DU teachers sacked
The Dhaka University authorities dismissed two teachers on charge of long-term absence, and demoted another teacher for plagiarism.
The university syndicate took the action against assistant Professor of Philosophy Department Dr. Golam Azam and lecturer of Leather Engineering and Technology Institute Hira Lal Pal on Tuesday night following a probe report, said Nasreen Ahmad, DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (education) on Wednesday, reports UNB.
Associate Professor of World Religions and Culture Department M Abu Sayem has been demoted to the position of assistant professor after the syndicate found him guilty of plagiarism in his research, said Nasreen Ahmad.
