No scope for question paper leakage
Dhaka: Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman on Sunday said there is no scope for question paper leakage in the Primary School Certificate (PSC) and Ebtedayee Examinations as the authorities have taken adequate measures.
"We have taken all necessary steps to hold the Primary School Certificate (PSC) and Ebtedayee Examinations in a peaceful manner," he made the comment while visiting examination centre at Motijheel Ideal Primary School in Dhaka.
Senior officials of the ministry, teachers and representatives of local government organizations, among others, were present at the meeting.
The minister asked members of the law enforcement agencies to enhance monitoring for checking unfair practices in the examinations.
All concerned officials should remain alert against misuse of digital devises during the examinations, he added.
Primary School Certificate (PSC) and Ebtedayee Examinations-2017 began on Sunday across the country with the participation of 30,96,075 examinees.
As many as 28, 04, 509 examinees are appearing for PSC examinations while 2,91,566 students are participating in Ebtedayee examinations this year, officials of the Primary and Mass Education Ministry said.
Of the total PSC examinees, 12,99,985 are male and 15,04,524 female while among the Ebtedayee examinees 1,53,152 are male and 1,38,414 female, they added. The number of this year's examinees are 1,34,213 less than the previous year as 32,30,288 students appeared in the examinations last year.
