Rajshahi: The 10th convocation of Rajshahi University has been postponed on Tuesday due to the illness of Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid.

The convocation was scheduled to be held on March 24.

The fresh date will be fixed following a decision of President Abdul Hamid, said Professor Probash Kumar Karmakar of public relation office of the university.

The education minister expressed his inability to attend the event on schedule as he will go under a surgery on his eye on Wednesday, said the official.

Earlier, the 10th convocation which was scheduled to be held on December 24, 2016, was postponed as the President could not attend the convocation.

On February 3, the university authorities fixed the date for March 24, 2018 again.
