Gopalganj: A girl who has passed this year’s Secondary School Certificate examination was reportedly gang-raped by three of her friends at Char Padmabila in Kashiani, Gopalganj on Sunday night.

The three suspected rapists were Hridoy, Markin and Biru of the same village.

Police said Biru called the girl out of her house over mobile phone on Sunday evening. Later, the trio forcibly took her to a field near her house where they took turns to violate her.

A case was filed against the purported offenders under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act on Monday.
