Dhaka: The Editors’ Council on Wednesday urged the Election Commission to ensure the free movement of journalists’ vehicles for three days from December 29 to 31.

The Council made the call in a letter signed by its General Secretary and The Daily Star Editor Mahfuz Anam, reports the UNB.

The letter was sent to the Chief Election Commissioner as per a decision of the Council taken in meeting held on Wednesday.

‘Free movement of motorcycles of journalists or media activists and motor vehicles of journalists or newspapers should be ensured,’ the letter reads.
