Dhaka: Jatiya Oikyafront chief Dr Kamal Hossain on Sunday expressed deep concern over the overall election atmosphere, but said they will not quit the race.

He made the remarks while speaking at a press conference at Gano Forum office at Motijheel, reports the UNB.

Dr Kamal, also the Gano Forum president, said he is receiving phone calls every moment with the allegations of irregularities everywhere. ‘I had expected that I would get good news from at least one place, but unfortunately I received no such news.’

As per the Constitution, people are the owners of the country where democracy will be the main principle, he said. ‘But the colour of democracy which was manifested 47 years after the independence is unfortunate.’

The Oikyafront chief also said they will present the whole picture of the election before journalists after 6pm.
