RMG exporter and manufacturer Modele Group has stepped up to help 1,300 families in five upazilas in Manikganj affected by river erosion.

Manikganj Deputy Commissioner SM Ferdous inaugurated the relief distribution ceremony on Friday (Jul 10). ShibaloyUpazila UNO BM Ruhul Amin Rimon and Modele Group Executive Director Shamsul Haque Ripon were present as chief guests at the ceremony held maintaining social distance.

“According to the honourable prime minister’s orders, the business institutions must work together to tackle the Covid 19 crisis,” said Manikganj Deputy Commissioner SM Ferdous.

He also thanked Modele Group for stepping forward to aid those affected by river erosion.

Urging everyone to adhere to health guidelines during the pandemic, he said, “It is everyone’s collective efforts that has brought the corona situation in Manikganj under control compared to other districts.”

The 3-day food distribution program was launched to aid 1,300 families affected by river erosion in Shibaloy,Daulatpur,Ghior, Harirampurand ManikganjSadarupazilas.

In addition to helping those hit by river-erosion Modele Group also extended a helping hand to overcome the Covid-19 crisis.
