Man, son killed in Habiganj road crash

Habiganj: A man and his son were killed and 25 other people injured when a bus rammed into a tree at Kandigaon in Nabiganj upazila of Habiganj on Friday.

The deceased are Jashim Uddin, in his thirties, bus driver and his son 6-year-old son, Jihad, residents of Patenga in Chittagong.

Sekandar Hossain, sub-inspector of Sherpur Highway police camp, said the Sylhet-bound bus from Chittagong got twisted after hitting the roadside tree on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway, leaving Jashim and Jihad dead on the spot and 25 others injured.

Sherpur Highway Police recovered the bodies and took those to local police station while the injured were taken to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.
